FA Fine Barton

The FA have handed Joey Barton a 12-match ban and fined him £75,000 for his red card and subsequent actions in Queens Park Rangers' 3-2 defeat against Manchester City.
The 29-year-old midfielder was sent off for elbowing Carlos Tevez but later appeared to kick out at Sergio Aguero and attempted to head butt Vincent Kompany.
Barton accepted a violent conduct charge relating to the Aguero offence but pleaded not guilty to butting Kompany.
He received a four-game ban for the red card, his second dismissal of the season, and a subsequent eight-game suspension for the offences against Aguero and Kompany, plus the fine.
A statement from the FA read: "An independent Regulatory Commission has today [Wednesday 23 May 2012] dealt with two charges of violent conduct against Joey Barton, arising from the game against Manchester City, resulting in an eight-match suspension and £75,000 fine for the Queens Park Rangers midfielder.
"This eight-match suspension is to run consecutively to the four-game suspension Barton was already given for his dismissal in the fixture, making a total of 12 matches.
